I know BeatQuantizer by Zero-X had issues with odd time signatures, but I don't know the latest on that product. I hope it's as easy as you make it sound. I would've thought it was a pretty easy thing to do - child's play compared to writing the melodyne algorithm )īasically melodyne's detector completely ignores the other channels and just moves the audio in them by the same amount as in the master channel for the linked group.Įssentially I don't see as melodyne is doing much more than automated stretching based on points given from the master track - which of course can be quantised or whatever. I can't imagine it will be an easy enhancement, especially when you get into odd time signatures and meter changes. Sounds like they haven't started on it yet. Having it on their "ToDO" list is not very encouraging to me. It is possible to use multi channels right now - but it processes them all separately which of course causes phase problems.
